World Monthly Surface Station Climatology (WMSSC) Climatology

No, that's not a typographical error. Read on.

The World Monthly Surface Station Climatology (WMSSC) comprises time series of precipitaion, surface temperature, and sometimes sea-level pressure, station pressure, and relative humidity for thousands of stations around the world. The data set provides digital values for months and years, for example, February 1953, and it is maintained and available from by the National Center for Atmospheric Research. What is presented on this WWW is a climatology of the precipitation and surface temperature calculated by Ernie Recker of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences of the University of Washington.
