Have you found this data archive to be useful to your research or to your developing an application? It would be helpful to have your input as this data archive may cease to be updated in the near future, and I will not be answering questions or offering advice about datasets. The NOAA mission is tied very strongly to developing applications of climate information so it is useful for NOAA to know whether or not this archive helps you to develop climate applications.

So, please send me an email at ( mitchell@atmos.washington.edu ), and tell me briefly which dataset(s) you download from this archive (you could copy the URL(s)), and whether you could get by if it (they) were no longer updated. To simplify tabulation, please write

  • data application in the subject line if you use the data that you obtain here to develop an application of climate information and
  • data science in the subject line if you use the data that you obtain here to answer what are purely science questions.
