Climatological African precipitation is plotted using version 3.01 of the University of
Delaware global precipitation climatology, produced by Kenji Matsuura and
Cort Willmott. Documentation
of the data set and an ascii version of
the data are available on the University of Delaware WWW page. A
netCDF version of this climatology is available here.
Elevation contours of 500 (thin) and 1500m (thick) circumscribe the
gross topographical features. The shading scale is nonlinear.
