Selecting station pages
Help - Canadian station weather data and extreme winter events

There are a few different ways by which one may come to station pages:
Maps
- There are maps of various sizes and covering different areas (national and provincial) from which a location may be selected so as to view its station page. On the map simply click on the marker to open the station page. Depending on your web browser, you may get some information like the station name from the link on the map.
Provincial lists
- The are lists of all of the stations for each province. If you are looking for a particular station or place by name or if the location is uncertain, this works well. Lists may also be useful when multiple stations are close together, and the links on maps overlap making some the station pages difficult to access that way.
Complete alphabetical listing
- All of the stations for the dataset are listed in alphabetical order by the given station names. This listing is probably not the easiest to navigate, but since it is complete a search on the page can find any station in the dataset.
Maps and lists divided by type of weather observed
- Many of the Canadian stations have observations of only temperature or precipitation. So maps and lists were created including stations with only temperature data, only precipitation data, or with both. Thus if one is interested in only one weather variable or in only stations with all data for both types of weather variables, searching may be easier without the other stations.
