Freud User Manual
After you press the Plot button, notice that the Stop button is activated. Before pressing Plot the button is inactive; you cannot click the button. After pressing Plot you can press the button. This will stop the plot, and can be used if you mistakenly initiate a plot that takes a long time to draw.
If the cursor is in the display window, the coordinates of the cursor relative to the first background object are displayed in the upper right corner of the base window. If there is a contour instantiation with loaded data, the data values of the first contour instantiation at the cursor location are also displayed
Printing
Click on the Print button on the base window to print out a plot. A new popup window will appear:
The Printer button allows you to select which printer to print to. Press MENU on this button to see the list of available printers. The default printer is chosen from your PRINTER environment variable; if it isn't set, the default printer is set to the first printer in the /etc/printcap file. The printer must be a PostScript compatible printer. Click the OK button to send output to the chosen printer.
You can also send output to a file by clicking the File choice on the Output to choice item. The file browser will popup, and you select a file to print to. If you make the file browser go away and then decide to specify another printer, click on the Select File button to the left of the File field (note that the File field is a read-only field that is set by Freud to indicate the chosen file). Click OK to send output to the file.
You can choose between PostScript, CGM, and GIF output by selecting the appropriate Output Type.
The Command field indicates the command that will be invoked to print or send output to a file. You can edit this field; however, it is not recommended unless you know what you are doing.
